What is your favorite part about working at IDE?
My favorite part of my job is the variety of challenges. Every day, I come across different challenges. This gives me a better understanding of the industry and has continued to help me become a better problem solver.
What do you think makes you unique as a team member?
My dedication to learning. I seek opportunities to improve my knowledge of this industry.
What do you enjoy most about your job, and what are some challenges you face?
What I enjoy most about my job is our team at IDE. The challenge I face is learning about new technologies that are coming out in the industry. It’s fascinating, but I am not one to like computers lol.
How do you stay motivated and engaged in your work, and what advice would you give to others who are struggling with motivation?
Know your purpose, stay positive, and work towards your goals. The best motivation always comes from within.
How does IDE support your professional development, and what opportunities have you taken advantage of?
IDE has a wealth of knowledgeable employees. They offer training on equipment not only for employees but also for our customers. IDE helps with professional growth in navigating challenges and has shown excellent guidance and support.
How do you collaborate with your colleagues and team members, and what qualities do you think are essential for effective teamwork?
Workplace communication, and being able to rely on your coworkers for help and support. Camaraderie is key.
How do you balance your work responsibilities with your personal life, and what strategies do you use to maintain that balance?
Set boundaries. Try not to bring work home, (even though it happens sometimes). It’s essential to decompress and spend time with family and friends.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Spending time with family and drag racing. I also play volleyball, which helps me decompress and clear my mind.
What is something that you are proud of about yourself?
Raising my son, he’s pretty amazing. I also coached volleyball for 5-6 years. In my first year as coach, I took our team to second place in our district.
If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be and why
Kerry, Ireland, for Kerry’s mountains, lakes and coast. I once saw it on a postcard and thought it was beautiful.
