At International Drilling Equipment, we take immense pride in acknowledging the dedication and hard work of our exceptional team. Our success is driven by the commitment and expertise of our employees, and we believe in celebrating their achievements to cultivate a culture of appreciation that motivates everyone to pursue excellence.

This month, we’re excited to spotlight Matt Strubhar! As IDE’s Northeast Operations Manager, Matt has been a key member of the IDE team for one year. His steadfast dedication to supporting our team, partners, and customers truly sets him apart, and we are grateful to have him with us.

What is your favorite part about working at IDE?
Serving our customers

What do you enjoy most about your job, and what are some of the challenges you face?
I enjoy working with our customers to have a successful ownership or rental experience. Our team can respond to their needs in any way, even with complex problems or in ever changing job site environments.  If their job is going well and is made easy, they are successful. When our customers are successful, we are successful.

How does IDE support your professional development, and what opportunities have you taken advantage of?
IDE is very supportive of my professional development. I have been to a few in person AED classes in the area of parts and service. Also, I’m currently enrolled in the Branch Manager certification course.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
We enjoy traveling and camping as a family. We can also be found supporting our kids activities either on the softball field or at a marching band performance/competition just about every weekend in the fall.

What is something that you are proud of about yourself?
Completing a successful career in the U.S. Coast Guard, active duty for over 20 years.

If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be and why?
Utah and Omaha Beaches of Normandy. Given my military background and the fact that my grandfather fought in WWII, I have a desire to walk the beach and see this area.
